Report: Google slips past Russian news aggregators list

MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service has not included Google in the register of news aggregators due to insufficient traffic, business daily Vedomosti reported on Thursday on its Web site, citing the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media.

The law on news aggregators applies to the resources used to process and distribute news and daily traffic of more than 1 million users.

Aggregators Yandex.News, Rambler/news, News Mail.Ru, and SMI2, to which the measures apply, respect the law and keep for six months the distributed information, data on the time of its placement and sources.
